If the relationship is that far back then I don't think I'd worry about it, but the question here is how does it make you feel? When you found out did you feel like you were 'holding hands with your brother' or were you still attracted to the guy in a 'feel good' sort of way?

If you still feel good about going out with him--then keep going out.

I don't know how old you are, but for him to be your 7th or 8th cousin, he would be 40 or 50 years older than you. I have a 3rd cousin who is 25 years younger than me. I don't even have any 4th cousins, and if I do their probably infants. Something doesn't add up there, or you're 2nd or 3rd cousins and you're just not saying.

That's so far down the line of relations that it doesn't matter. Was anyone there acting weird about it? Still, 7th or 8th cousins...that doesn't matter.

well at first i will be halla shocked and embarrased. But then i would probably be like "wait a minute, she is my 7th causin and thats like not even being related to each other. so i would keep on seeing her. I know people in the family would probably talk smack but if i loved that person i wouldn't care what people would say about us.

7th or 8th is very very distant so it doesnt matter...if you were 3rd or 2nd or first then i would be concerned.
