I am having a problem w/ the heat in my '02 Grand Am GT. It doesn't work on 1, 2 or 3. It only works on 4 and 5. Could this be the fan or the switch? I either am really warm or freezing when I am driving because the heat won't work in 1, 2, 3. Any suggestions what it could be?

I had the exact same problem with my grand am. I really never figured out what it was, I just sold the car. It is probably the switch. These cars are junk. I have never had so many problems out of a car.

The heaters in cars have a control switch, probably somewhere under the dash.. on my car it is near the glove box.. anyway when they go bad they usually default to working only on hi.. you just need to have it replaced with a new one.

an common thank you to tell which area it particularly is, jack up one area of the automobile, grab the wheel at 12 and six and take a verify out to head the wheel up and down. no rely if it particularly is tight then that wheel bearing is powerful. if it feels loose or has some play then it isnt solid. could probable be the two wheel bearings are no solid. yet from the sound your describing it maximum in all hazard is wheel bearings.
