A person can easily drown if drinking alcohol in a bathtub full of hot water.

I guess that depends on how much the person is drinking. If they drink enough to get to the point of passing out then they could easily drown simply by unknowingly sliding under the water. If you are unconscious then it is possible to drown in as little as 4 inches of water if your lying face down in it. But if someone is just sitting in a bath drinking a glass of wine or something then there is no reason for them to be more likely to drown then if they hadn't been drinking.

Well the heat might make them sleepy, just like in a steamy hot tub. But I think the alcohol would be the main culprit here, not the hot water. If you drink too much in hot water that makes you sleepy, you run the risk of passing out and drowning. Its happened.

Alcohol causes the blood vessels to dilate, that's why you feel hot and flushed. Sitting in hot water can raise your core temperature so high that you pass out and drown. See link below.

True. A person, drunk or sober, can drown in a less than 1" of water. However, due to lack of reflexes (and the abilitly to observe) it is more likely a drunk person will drown in the tub than a healthy sober person.

i think a person can easily drown in any body of water, but the relaxing hot water in combination with alcohol might make it easier

Depends on the amount of alcohol he is drinking. If he is fully imbibed, then yes it is very possible he will drown.
