I've never understood that myself.
If Mary and Joseph were husband and wife, then they would have had sex to consumate their marriage. What makes people believe that Jesus is GOD'S son when he could very well be the biological son of Mary and Joseph. Other than the "word of the Bible", of course.
Just a thought. I totally respect everybody's beliefs.

Jesus was (and is) the Son of God. Joseph was His earthly father and NOT His biological Father. Mary was His earthly mother and His biological mother. Mary became pregnant because of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was (and is) both God and man.

Jesus was the bastard son of a supposed god, a god who took advantage of a married woman. You just got to ask yourself what kind of a god would do that? Sounds like a rape to me. Or do you suppose the husband freely gave up the sexual services of his wife to a person who claimed to be a god, or can you accept the sexual exchange of the oldest profession and a god who would avail himself of sexual services - why today he could be arrested.
And by-the-way, just why was Jesus unemployed? and unhabled to secure work?

Mary and the man she had relations with. Nothing supernatural about him. Believe what you want but your "God" probably had nothing to do with creating Jesus. If somebody claimed something like this today they'd be considered crazy but then it was justifiable and people bought into it.
