Check out the cells manual. Usually you can save contacts to the card instead of saving them to the phones memory.
The new phone has to be unlocked, some phones arent unlocked and need the contract sim card and you can unlock the phone after a certain period of time.
Also there are some different sim cards. If yours is like realllllly old, you might not be able to use it in new cells.
Again you should check the cells manula to find out the sim cards accepted.

As long as you have your contacts saved to your SIM card and not to the phone they will be transferred.

Much of this depends on the carrier and manufacturer of the phone. I know that on Nextel, the answer is "yes", your contacts will be transferred. I believe Cingular SIMs will also do this. Beyond that I am not 100% sure.

If you saved your contacts onto your sim card, they will transfer.
Otherwise, they will still be in your old phone.

so long because it your previous telephone had a similar form of sim card, it really is going to artwork! This got here about to me... purely be conscious that fairly some issues would no longer move like your telephone numbers, photos, video clips, and so on. also... in the adventure that your new telephone had a ton of helpful houses probability is reckoning on how previous your telephone is, it maximum in all probability wont have a similar issues. Oh and also you lost your wallpapers and ringtones too :[ purely attempt it! worst that would want to take position is it gained't artwork!

go to your address book and on mine theres a menu button and it should say, copy... then click all to sim. then you can put that in your other phone and they will be there. if its not working, if you go a store they have a device that transfers address books.
