yes definatley worth it...the distance is good for the relationship. it gives each other space and makes the time spent together more cherished

It depends. If it's for a short while (and you know when you'll get back together) and the couple is very much in love, it's definately worth the wait. These days there are lots of ways to keep communicating with each other, not just by phone, but also mail, chats and webcams.

But I have heard of cases where the husband stays for instance in Europe and the wife back in Asia and she hasn't got citizen rights in Europe. Sometimes these legal issues take years to get solved and the husband just visits his own wife just once a year at maximum. And they had kids also! Especially when it's not even a love marriage, I think it's ridiculous! Totally not worth it. Just because you want your daughter to have a so-called secure future in some foreign country, don't ruin her life like this! Especially just after marriage, it's important to spend quality time together. And in the worst case, the foreign husband gets himself another life partner and forgets about his wife back home...A lot of trust is needed in such a relationship, not to speak about patience..

Which long distance marriage are you talking about?

(Figurative) Distance b/w husband and wife?
OR
Geographichal distance b/w the partners?

In the former case : You can consider to part, if all mechanism of conviencining your parter fails
