Absolutely not...men and woman are completely different, it's like trying to compare an apple to an orange. Are they equal? And who is to say what is equal and what is not.
And further more I wouldn't want to do everything a man can. I celebrate the fact that I am female.
I am aware I am going to receive many a thumbs down on this, but equality between sexes has done nothing but divide families and countries and unchecked will be the ruin of more than one society.

I hate when men ask this question. Of course women cannot do anything a man can. This does not stop us from being equal. There are many things I can think of off the top of my head that a woman can do that a man cannot. Think of it like this 4 + 4 = 8 but two groups of 4 is not the same as one group of 8. They are equal yet different. Now, tell me what is better, 2 groups of 4 or one group of 8? Doesn't it depend on what the groups are of? What you want to do with them? Someone who can lift many pounds is great but not if what is needed is someone with long slender fingers to reach an object. Think about it.

Equally different is the best way to put it, I think. There are some things that, on average, a man is better at. For instance, most men are better miners, welders, construction workers, etc. Not because women can't do it, because we can, but men's bodies are designed for physical labor, ours are designed for, well, labor =D
Then there are things that we probably do better. Nursing, teaching, daycare, etc. We were given a natural ability to be more nurturing and patient. Some men do very well at those positions, but we're more inclined to do them because we are "built" for it.
I can't think of anything a woman *can't* do that a man can do. Other than get an embarrassing b0ner in the middle of class, and you can keep that. We don't want that any more than you want childbirth =D

I believe I am of equal value as a person to a man. I do not however fool myself into thinking I can do anything a man can do. I can't pee standing up, for instance. However, I am single and I usually have to find a way to get things done by myself, even if it means creative ways to repair things, move furniture, etc. I feel that women often make the mistake of trying to put men down in order to lift themselves up. It is unnecessary and foolish. It takes nothing away from you as a person to acknowledge someone else's worth and contributions.

Look if equality is to be considered in terms of social aspects than yes they are equal. Men and Women have equal importance in society. They are supposed to have equal opportunities, resource allocations and rights.
But biologically they are different. They are different because they are women and not men. There are very few things that women can not do but a man can. There are many things women can do as good as men. There are some things women can do better that men. Same applies to men also.
Intellecutally there is no possible difference. But experience and perspectives due to biological differences are likely to bring in some difference in choices and approaches.

both man and woman are equal because they are both human being created by God. They just differ in their limitations in doing something. Woman can be as competent as a man. I cannot think of a thing that a woman can't do that a man can. But i can think of something that a woman can do and a man cannot. And that is to bear and deliver a child normally.

I think i'm equal to a man, yes, but not in every way. that would be ridiculous. Just as a man isn't equal to me in every way. I'm not as strong as most men, but then again, men probably don't have the pain tolerance women have :)
