Okay. I have a tiny little problem that most teenage girls and I'm sure boys, go through. Some days I look in the mirror and love what I see, however I'll straight away compare myself to anyone and get miserable. It's mainly the face when I do this.
Another thing....you know when guys start to get hair around their belly button and eventually for some, all over their belly? Well I have that problem. Not severely, but enough to make me self concious. NOT A GOOD THING! I really hate the hair because it's yuk, no guy will be attracted to this body, and it doesn't feel nice like a smooth belly would. What can I do? I've recently (in the past year) accepted my body size, shape and all that because I realised that there is nothing wrong with it. However the hair is. I also have very little hair on my back, bum, thighs, chest and a little on the breasts. I think it's noticeable because I am fair with dark hair. Any ideas how to get rid of it all or feel better about myself? Please?!?

First off, everything you describe is completely normal, even the hair thing. I'm a doctor, and I see a lot of people's bodies, male and female.
Most women shave or pluck that excess hair. Some bleach it to make it less noticeable.
If you really want it gone for good, you need to invest in electrolysis or laser treatments, but they are quite expensive (at least several hundred dollars...)
Rarely, hormonal problems can cause excess body hair, so if you are getting to be as hairy as a guy, you might want to talk to your doctor.
As far as comparing your looks... Yes, just about all girls and boys do this, and continue to some degree for the rest of their lives. As you get older, though, both you and the boys will start focusing more attention on more important aspects. You sound intelligent, so that's one quality that will help you attract the right kind of guy down the road!

It's so hard to just like yourself these days with all the fashion magzines and 'perfect' models, isn't it? I feel for you, and I'm glad you are okay with the shape of your body. Check out the Dove website. They have a clip on there that shows what they do to make models look so perfect. It shows just how fake all those women are, and how unrealistic it is. Might help you remember that people look like you, not like the magazines. As to hair, if it really bugs you, there's always bleaching or waxing, both options are a pain. Some cultures actually find women with more body hair attractive, so there's a guy out there for you, not to worry. Not every guy will be bothered by it. I'd say if you want to feel better about your body, put on clothes you feel pretty in, and go out and watch people's reactions to how good you look. I'm sure you look fine, and you will learn to accept the way you are as you get older, I promise.

Well its quite natural to little hair in areas ur mentioned..Its not at all serious...wel u can use undergo some laser hair removal treatment to get rid of the unwanted hair. The hair under arms pits, around vaginal areas is a must..there is lot of misconception that hair around vaginal and arms pits is non hygenic..while its not really..well if u want u can trim the hair in these areas if u want. Hair in the specified areas have their own use...dont undergo laser hair treatment in these areas..

You are going through puberty and are having a lot of hormonal changes. If you are concerned about this you might mention this with your doctor the next time you see him/her just to check and see if your hormone levels are in the normal range.
Girls and boys in puberty start to grow hair on their legs, armpits, and pubic areas. In the USA, girls and women shave off the hair on their legs and under their arm pits due to cultural standards of beauty. The women in Europe don't do this. I used to date a 25 y/o girl who had some hair on her breasts. She just shaved it off.
Some girls like to use other methods of removing unwanted hair instead of shaving. I don't know the pro's and con's of this.
You're are going through a time when you are having a lot of changes in your body and emotions. It is not unusual to have some feelings of anxiety about this, especially for girls. Boys are concerned about this also, but girls are more concerned about their physical attractiveness than boys.
One thing that may help you to feel better about yourself, is to share your concerns about your body with your mother. She has gone through all the changes that you are going through now. If not your mother, any adult woman that you trust would be good to talk to also. Aunts can be especially helpful with this.
Another thing that can help you to feel better about yourself, is to realize that God created you and that He knew what He was doing. We are all somewhat different and somehat the same.
One of the things that helps me with this is to go for a walk in the woods or a park and look at the trees. All of the Oak trees are similar but they are all different also. It helps me to realise that I don't have to be like everyone else. It is OK for me to be different.
God bless you honey.

women are actually very hairy creatures themselves... you'd be surprised if none of them did anything about it like guys... you just need to shave, wax, pluck and everything else that every other woman does... hair on your nipples is normal, just pluck them
