Okay back in the 1900s to 1940 if a woman was a nurse, teacher or whatever she was not looked down upon if she was unmarried. Now, today if you are pretty, and have a profession and choose to remain a spinster, everyone judges you or makes assumptions, why?

I actually think that unmarried women (hate the term spinster - sounds awful) are so much more common nowdays and people are now quite use to seeing women having a full life without having to have a wedding ring on their finger.
Im not sure they are being judged as much as you think.
Good luck to those women I say !!!

From a previously unmarried woman.

I think people made assumptions back then as well. I'm guessing it happens because the single woman isn't doing what she's "supposed" to do. I have always been single, and I get told frequently I need to lower my standards. What would be the point of that? Why marry someone I don't really love? My theory is all the married people want everyone else to either be as happy as they are or as miserable.

'SHE' would not have a acceptance yet? this might nicely be a surprisingly long (pointless) passage and yet she would not have a acceptance. I accept as true with splendor i do unlike this character. in case you choose on your reader to experience sorry for her you should instruct us extra suitable than let us know. What varieties of nicknames are they calling her, why is her kinfolk so against her are all of them proper human beings? Why is it that she makes a decision to run away this night because of the fact the kinfolk pronounced that she hasn't had a boyfriend? That seems form of stupid. each element listed, and that's a catalogue, would not extremely portray an emotional disillusioned that she hasn't confronted in the past.
