i have this thing against a certain store*it shall be unnamed*. is it wrong for me to have told her that i don't want any of my gifts from this store?

Not at all! You aren't telling her what to get you (unless she asks), and I assume you are doing this for some reason of principles, and I think good for you for doing that! Hope your mom respects your wish. and Merry Christmas!

Not if you have a reason. Or if you live in a small (mega small) town and thats the only store

well i tell my mom every year not to buy me anything for christmas. but she never listens to me.

i guess that it would depend on what you have against that store.

It's not wrong at all! JUst tell her, "Mom, i appreciate that u want to purchase a christmas present for me, but please don't buy it from *store*.. "

No, of course not. Be sure to let her know that you appreciate the gesture but if she's going to get you something please do not patronize that particular store.
