Yes, because Yao Ming is the greatest man alive!

It's within the realm of possibility that the Rockets could reach the Finals, but I wouldn't bet the house on it. McGrady isn't quite the player he used to be before the injuries he's sustained. Ming continues to improve, and is probably the best center in the league right now, but I don't like the Rockets bench that much, and I have a hard time seeing a team with Rafer Alston starting at point guard, getting to the Finals. Battier was a nice addition, but I just don't think that much of their backcourt. Still, they won't be a team that anyone will look forward to facing in the post season.

While this team is better than some of the others out there, I do not think the Rockets have all the pieces in place to reach the Finals this year.

To tell u the truth, I don't think so. I mean they're a good team, but not championship contenders material. Right now they're a decent team with a record of 8-4. It's possible, but the key to them getting to the finals is that their main players stay healthy, Yao keeps playing great, and t-mac has to start stepping up his game. It's definitely a possibility, but in the end, I think the two teams in the west would have to be the mavs and spurs.

Not a Chance... The Rockets could not win a best of seven match-up with...

San Antonio
Dallas
Utah
Los Angeles Lakers
Los Angeles Clippers
Pheonix

So that will make it really hard to come out of the West... wait until the Suns get used to having their big guy back and healthy... could be trouble for a lot of teams out West.

im a huge rockets fan , i love them so much and here are my thoughts, spurs have a very good team but the rockets have the ability to beat them, yao owns tim duncan, rafer alston(point), can out play tony parker. although tracy is not super hot hw will bounce back sooner or later and he can dominate manu ginobli.shane battier will one of the best defensive players can hold any body .and the up and coming chuck hayes, has the athletism like forward but at preseason was playing center, which means he can rebound like one. and spurs is obviously better than mavs and hornets so if rockets can beat spurs thay can beat the other teams. my prediction is thay will take the title.

There's no question they'll make the playoffs and if T-Mac and Yao stay healthy they will make the finals, they're a real tough team to beat and they've gotten even better with Battier, Bonzi, the best 3 point shooting rookie Novak, they're a tough challenge for any team, I just hope T-mac starts stepping up his game soon.

Highly doubtful. For one they are in the very tough Southwest division which includes the Spurs, Mavs and Hornets. I doubt they'll finish w/ a better record that any of those 3 teams...

Not unless T-Mac starts scoring 30PPG again (which I doubt with his back problems). And Rockets don't have many supporting players.
