I quit doing the manual deletion of history and cookies etc along time ago. You would think Microsoft would have had a maintenance program just for cleaning up web residue. The bottom line I use Ccleaner free and works well for deleting the cookies and web history etc.

open internet options and on the general tab and the browsing history section click delete then delete all or click delete next to the one that says cookies (for ie 7) for ie 6 it will be close to the same.

Simple.... Just go to internet options and go to browsing history, press delete and then choose cookies...... Thats how you delete the cookies. Plus you can delete other things too... like form data, temp internet files, stored internet passwords... . Just go to internet options........
