As long as the road ahead of you leads you to.

That is a great question, but age is not that important. It is the quality of life. Some folks live to be 90 but have been ill for the last twenty years, so age means nothing.
Personally I want to live to around 75 or 80, past that the joints in the body are old and things take much longer to do, from trying to stand up to just functioning. There are exceptions, but I have never wanted to live past being independent or spending every other day at a doctor's office. To me life is lousy at that point.

Until I'm ready to go. Why wish something that you can never achieve- meaning you don't know how long you are going to live- so the best way is the live like you are dying tomorrow- and if tomorrow comes- then it's a good day!

Personally I wouldn't want to live forever. Once you reach a certain age you are unable to care for yourself anymore. My great grandmother is almost 90 and live a healthy life but now has to be watched over and taken care of like she were a baby. I honestly couldn't stand it if I had to go through that. I'd say 60 or 70 then I'm done...but fate doesn't work that way so I can't say when death will come for me and take me.

We don't live for ourselves only. In our famiies, our spouses and children are dependent on us in most of the cases. We should ideally live at least that long whereby our support is no longer necessary for their living and well being. For ourselves we should live as long as we are not a burden on someone else. Our goals vary from people to people. So I guess that we can't specify any time or goal to define a life well spent.

I wish to live for as long as I can do the Lord's work and make a difference. Not a second longer. Then I want to go Home

I suppose if I had my druthers and if the world were not going to hell in a handbasket and I could see my grandchildren one day, I would want to be in my 80's and die in my sleep. Otherwise, I ask only that I die peacefully and that someone take care of my middle child who is bipolar and mildly retarded and difficult to be around when he is in a manic stage. I worry he will either end up in jail or under a bridge if not dead. I know how to calm him down. I know many who would rather him not alive. How sad that we all can't have patience with those with illnesses.

I would like to live until I am 100. Most people want to live forever though. I think that living forever would be a huge mistake. You could never die....NEVER EVER. It would be cool for a little bit, until 1000 years from now, and you have been longing for death but yet, it will never come.

I wish to live until there is no motivation left in me, no desires and nothing left that i would care for. I wouldnt mind dying in my sleep, but I must have a clear head even then.

Till i could be of help to others. I always prefer to be useful to others. I would like to live life till i could do my work by myself. & dont want to depend on others. I wish all my surroundings to be happy & always happy.
