You gotta have a better excuse than,"I go to a horrible school"! Boo Hoo!! Grow up!! Don't use that as an excuse to fail! Society gives you nothing for free! Your public education is the only thing that you do get for free!! Pi*ss*ing it away would be huge mistake! Of course your Dad said it's okay...sometimes Dads do the wrong thing just to stay friends with their kids. Your Dad is wrong! Your better listen to your Mama! You will thank her later!!

Going to a horrible school shouldn't be the reason to drop out. You would be missing out on so much in life if you drop. Education opens so many doors for you. You need to sit down and talk to both of your parents. Tell them how much you hate school, and try all together to find a solution. Dropping out isn't the solution. You can't face life like that. What if you end up going to the job corps but hate it afterwards, would you also drop out?? Try to step out of your situation, kind of out of body experience, and think what other things you could do to try to make it better. You can change schools, or do homeschooling. You are not alone, and you can get through this. Be wise & make smart choices!

The dad makes the decisions in the family. Just make sure you hold your end up by fulfilling your obligations in Job Corp. If you are under 16 however it is not legal for you to drop out. Each state has a different age for legally dropping out, so make sure its legal. Your parents could get into legal trouble with the law if your not old enough to drop out.

i dont believe dropping out is a good idea i did and i regret it more than anything your education is sooooooooooo important i know it sounds cheesy now but just wait until you have to support a family its hard to find good jobs out there with out your high school education. there has to be other options out there like an alternitive school . or home schooling. just remember that no matter how bad school seems and the people that your around once you graduate your not going to have to deel with them anymore. just try to stick with it because it is so important.good luck i hope you find something that will work for you so that you can get your high school education.

Baby, I am a mom of 5 boys and I know us moms seem to be the devil in dresses. HOWEVER, you need an education and I dont think your dad is thinking it through. See dads think "work is good" "getting a job will show him" thats the OLD way of thinking. Now you have to even have a high school education to work at Taco Bell. Another thing to think about, when you have kids dont you want to be able to help them with their homework?? My husband dropped out of school and he regrets it. He cant even help our kids with their homework and it makes him feel REALLY REALLY dumb. Think about it hon, stay in school. Go to you council at school and tell them you are having probs. they can help you too. GOOD LUCK

Some schools are worse than others, is yours really violent or something (like lot's of shooting, etc)? You could always go for your GED when you turn 18. I know LOTS of smart people that educated themselves, and plenty of DUMB people with advanced degrees.
By the way, people that say that College is the cure all for getting a good job are not right. I know LOTS of people that went to universities and ended up working at restaurants and stuff after they graduated (myself included). Good luck.

in case you fairly like the guy and he particularly likes then you definitely he will watch for you to be a criminal person until eventually now you start up getting heavily in touch .. have confidence me, maximum men do no longer stick around extra effective than 2-6 months once you're in extreme college and your dad and mom understand this and for this reason they do no longer desire you relationship impressive now...it particularly is extra effective to concentration on your schoolwork then boys which'll ultimately go away you heartbroken and pregnant. you're nonetheless youthful and have a large variety of time as much as now once you're older, yet from own journey the boy I have been given a tattoo for at 17 (with a pretend identity no much less) exchange into no longer around whilst i exchange into 19 and that i found out the no longer common way "authentic love" isn't continuously so authentic. watch for your soul mate and that they are going to watch for you... , and jointly as i don't understand this guy one factor i understand is that if he's have been given a scholarship he's going to could concentration on his learn besides.

Why would you want to miss out on education? Is the school horrible or you just don't like school. GET AN EDUCATION. Mom is right
