I would never be hard up enough to take a new ring of this status to a PAWN SHOP. I would have to be crazy

You dont have to get anyone to put it on ebay, you can put it on yourself and just pay ebay a commission if it's sold. But you might find it easier to sell locally, where someone could see it.
If you never wore it, you might even be able to take it back to the store where he bought it and see if they will buy it back.
What a sad ending to a lovely relationship.

I'm surprised to hear that you don't want to keep it as a memento... but I suppose you have your reasons. I would suggest taking it to a jeweller opposed to selling it on ebay, but if you would prefer to do it online, then just post it up there yourself....
Sorry for your loss, good luck in selling the ring.

some jewlers do buy back jewelry. Do you still have the reciept / paperwork? you might see if you can return it and get your money back. Put an add in the newspaper, I see jewelry there all the time too. You wont get nearly the 16hundred he paid for it, but you may be able to 1/2 that much. good luck, and I'm sorry for your loss.

There are Ebay stores who will sell it for you and get a flat fee. They will do everything for you. I don't quite understand what you are saying, but the sale can be handled easily.

I'd shoot the koala bear in the face and then go buy a new ring.

Try to sell it on ebay.
the problem is anyone who comes to see or get the ring, can rob you at gunpoint.......so can you stop a bullet?
