Why bother printing them if it doesn't give you time to read the name like "other cast members" etc.

I know it bugs me too! That is why whenever I rent a movie I am ready with the remote at the end. I just pause it and read. I like to see the songs, but the print is so small and it goes way too fast. They probably play it fast so they can give credit to everyone before you turn off the TV. Oh well!

The movie + credits, has to be over in a reasonable period of time. In the theater, you can't see all the names, but on DVD you can pause all you like. Time is money so short credits are in. If your name is on the list and you know what you did, it is still slow enough that you can find it.

some movies have so many credits it would take 20 minutes or more at a normal speed... few sit through the credits, and they do have to get the movie over to start the next showing...
