how can i use da mp3 songs as my ringtone?

well, im having a hard time finding out how to use the mp3 songs as my ring tone.. and my fone is motorazr v3i

I use motorolla phone tools and it opens the program and you can up and download any pictures , songs , address book and all to and from the pc and phone. It has a multimedia tab that lets you put a selected few seconds of any downloaded song as your ring tone. I don't know what phone you have but all should have comparable software as this. Check with phone brands website.
