My friend told me if you spell google wrong and spell it goggle.com you will a ton of viruses is that true?

Actually, in a sense that is true. Here is a link to McAfee's report on http://www.goggle.com ( http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/goggle.com?ref=safe&aff_id=0 ) There has been reports of viruses. Also, that is just one way you can mis-spell Google. Actually, if you do three o's, such as http://www.gooogle.com you'll automatically be re-directed to Google. So, goggle is probably the only bad site you can be lead to if you mis-spell Google. Have a nice evening.

Yes, if you were to mis-spell www.google.com certain ways in your address bar, it will take you to websites that will try to infect un-patched un-updated Windows computers.

People whose computer is faithfully updated with all critical updates every month via Windows Updates have little to worry about, however.

What.. no It is not true. Sometimes if you spell google wrong you will ether be re directed to the normal Google site or you will be re directed to another site.

I doubt it most viruses come in email.

Even so if one was at that website it would still need you to click on something to send it to you.

Thats wrong.

But if you spell elgoog.com (google backwards) you will find the mirror site, and everything will be backward :D What fun.

nope. it is 110% wrong. i accidently spelled it all of the following way:

goggle, google, gooogle, gogle., there are some more but i cant remember them. but your friend is wrong.
