Wouldn't bleach make my coloured and patterned numbers completely white?? And is it o.k. to bleach lace and delicate pieces? I assume there are particular bleaches just for clothes..I am really clueless when it comes to bleach products

If you use regular bleach, then it will not necessarily make your numbers completely white but a different color, kind of a beige. I would think the non chlorinated bleach would be better for the lace and delicates as well.

Or you could try just putting a capful of bleach in a full washer, close lid to let it mix a little, then add the clothing.

Go and buy clorox 2 for your colored and patterned numbers. Read the directions on the detergent like tide and how much clorox 2 to put in your washer. No do not use bleach on lace and delicate pieces use oxiclean and regular detergent like tide and they will come out ok...Good Luck!! Yes the bleach in your colored and patterned numbers would fade into another color...So try oxiclean..Hope this helps!

bleach will fade all colors to a degree unless it is all fabric or color safe bleach. You NEVER bleach delicates like lace because the fabric can not handle the caustic properties of it and will actually yellow fine lace. If you have stains, use an oxygenated stain remover.

You shouldn't bleach delicates like lace at all. You should use a natural whitener like baking soda and castile soap. Seperate your colors and wash lace out by hand. It doesn't take as long as you think. I learned this tip from a girl I used to model with...take your bras and panties in the shower with you, use them as you shower and then hang them to dry with suction hooks. They keep their shape and softness a whole lot longer and it's energy efficient. Good luck. Nana

chlorine bleach would not make colored things completely white but it would take a lot of the color out of them, you can use the specific bleach for colors, which is oxygen based and it will help whiten them without taking the color out of them, for lace and anything with nylon in it or lycra, use hydrogen peroxide, the same thing you use on cuts.
