I think they are scams. I have tried doing this for months. They want you to pay for stuff or to get paid, you have to make all the requirements. You can get through the whole survey and on the last question if you answer something in a way they don't like, you don't get the prize or cash. Some get your paypal info to try to take money out.

Having so many paid surveys available all the time lets you live the kind of life you want. I travel with my family 3 or 4 months every year! While I'm on vacation, I love to take paid surveys while relaxing on the beach. I can pay for my entire stay in just a few hours of taking surveys! REAL Paid Online Surveys...

I've been taking paid/rewarded surveys for several years. I get paid about $20 a month for about 2-3 hours survey taking...and I'm signed up for a BUNCH of sites. That's all the surveys I qualify for (um...well, that and the surveys for a sweepstakes one, which I usually ignore. Even though I've won one once, I figure the chance of it happening twice is slim.)

I've listed some of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or recieved other rewards like gift cards or CDS) on the following site, if you are interested:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc.

There are others out there. Be careful though, there are also scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not agregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Also just recently came across a good survey ratings site that I've found very helpful:

Mostly they are a waste of time.

All of the "surf to get paid" sites actually install cookies to track where you have been for "marketing" purposes, but do you really want someone to know everywhere you have been?

Besides, it would take a butt load of time to just accumulate a few dollars, which they won't send you unless you have so much built up in their system.

I would say not to worry about them. You would be better off doing an affiliate deal if you have an established website.

http://www.linkshare.com is one that you could try.

I have been making an extra income from doing surveys for close to a year now, the trick for me is to sign up for more than one survey site and to have a 2nd email account just for the surveys...I can share with you a free link (not a referral link) that list a few free survey to check out

I've done it, honestly in my experience I felt it was a waist of time, where I've done it PandaResearch.com, I have made a total of 130 so far but and this is a big but, you have to sign up for whatever survey you take meaning, like a Blockbuster survey you have to sign up, You just have to be careful to cancel subscriptions, or you get charged after free trails.... so in my opening yeah you can do it, but sometimes it's annoying to have to cancel a specific subscription cause i sometimes forget about it

Pinecone research, Surveysavvy, Greenfieldonline are some of the larger survey companies, who pay regularly . A list of companies you can join for free , with details of amounts you will receive as payment, is available at http://tinyurl.com/mx9ga

Some of them are very legit.

I've made quite a bit of cash or paypal credit taking surveys. And you can actually trade in points on some for stuff.

But you have to be careful - many are garbage.
