I'm very interested in changing careers and have been looking into becoming a recruiter/headhunter. Specifically in the healthcare field.

I realize the salary will not initially be that of a pharmacist but the standing and demands are forcing me to look into something else.

Does anyone know the best process to go about making this change and finding out the best steps to take, who to contact... or of any ideas? What are some of the better companies to start with if any? I would think then it would be best to branch out on one's own after a few years?y/n? Any and all information available appreciated! Thanks!

I wish you the very best of luck. Unfortunately I do not have answers to your specific questions. However, and I only tell you this in order to try to help you, you must be good in sales in order to make it as a recruiter or headhunter. If you do not have any sales experience you may have some problems. That is not to say that you cannot do this; you just need to go into this with your eyes open. Good luck!

Working in a hospital or home health care can resolve the 'standing' issues but I'm not sure what you mean by "other demands".

I'd seriously rethink recruiting. I know a couple of Pharmacist recruiters that managed temp agencies. One has worked out well, the other was a disaster.

Have a back-up plan. additionally, each and every author i've got heard communicate approximately their writing says that they examine plenty. purely examine. examine all sorts of books. believe me, it's going to make you a extra useful author. you will study from others a thank you to jot down, what works, etc.

Call the recuriting companies that interest you. tell of your interest in becoming a recuriter, and ask if they are looking for anyone, or, if they can recommend an office that may be hiring.

Look in the Sunday classified section, they often advertise.
