There was some research done on this and from the introduction that stated that
"There are no visual images in the dreams of those born without any ability to experience visual imagery in waking life.
Individuals who become blind before the age of five seldom experience visual imagery in their dreams, although Deutsch (1928) reports some visual imagery in six schoolchildren who lost their sight before age five.
Those who become sightless between the ages of five and seven may or may not retain some visual imagery.
Most people who lost their vision after age seven continue to experience at least some visual imagery, although its frequency and clarity often fade with time.

Blind people who were once able to see most likely do see in their dreams, especially if they are recently blinded. I imagine the ability to see in their dream decreases over time, only because they haven't been able to see and over time the ability to remember seeing things might diminish.
People blind from birth dream using their other senses. Having never seen in their whole entire life, they would not be familiar with seeing and therefore could not see in their dreams. They could hear and feel, and I am sure they hear better and feel more acutely than sighted people do. For people who see, the visual is the main sense they use in their dream, so sighted people would experience other senses in their dreams to a lesser extent than blind people.

Best question i seen on Yahoo! answers!!!! It would be interesting if they were born blind and still dream of colors and images that would mean that dreams are not something we control with our senses that means someone (God) is giving us these dreams. If they don't dream and they where born blind then i guess they dream of sound. have you ever heard someone speak to you in a dream? I think if you want a proper answer to your question then it's best to go out and find a blind person and ask them that yourself. Comeback and tell us the answer.

WOW--what a totally interesting question. I would wonder if they dream if they have been blinded after they were born also.
I don't have an answer, but I just have to see some of the responses to your question.

I heard yesterday (on the radio, I think) that people who were originally sighted have visual dreams but people blind from birth experience their dreams as they experience their waking life.
