Basic concept: each player creates a character - you choose pretty much everything custom but must follow a set of rules for how you allocate various skills and abilities.

One of the players is the "game master" who runs the game. He/she has complete insight as to the entire makeup of the adventure. He/she will give you options, and lead you through the adventure. Typically you will play in a group of 2-5 players with the additional GM.

The game is very free form, you can basically do whatever you want, however, especially during combat there will be rules and sequences.

It is very easy to play for the first time. I suggest you find your local friendly game store and ask if there are learn to play sessions or a game session where new players would be welcome.

pretty easy, need bunch of friends like to act. read players manual first.

only dungeon master has to be really knowledgeable.
