I don't like any of the above answers thus far. We use wire that we form to the shape we desire and suspend it from the eaves and secure it in the ground with stakes. We then tape the light stings to the wire. Keeps the bricks pristine and the wire is reusable each year.

You need those tools that use a 22 to fire in an attachment fixture into the bricK. Home Depot.

You can use brick clips. They don't damage the brick or the mortar, and you can remove/reuse them from year to year.You may be able to find them at your local hardware store. Be sure to purchase the correct size clip that matches the size of your brick. If you can't find them at your hardware store, you can purchase them online. Here's a website where I found them:

from your local building centre as them for a 1/4 inch masonary drill bit, and-for some conduit anchors to fit the size of cord your lights are on,and 1 or 2 boxes of lady plugs [ucan drive screw anchors, #mna650, 100 pcs per box.]

yes i live in a upper class neighborhood and it seems like my entire block thinks its a huge competition. most years it is friendly but as the years go on the are starting to get more and more competitive. this is becoming a huge problem for me due to the fact that i have my window facing a house that is a top competitor.

Electrical Supply houses sell plastic wire holders with peel and stick surface on the back, they are cheap and will work
