Depends on where you live. In the polar regions, it snows alla time, it never rains.

For snow to fall, the air temperature need to be below 32°F from the upper atmosphere down to the lower atmosphere. This will only happen during the winter (for the most part).

Because of Global Warming it takes the Earth longer to get cold enough for snow, even if you are in a cold place like Canada!

well, when the planets are aligned with the Morphius star, it rains, when it snows the planets are aligned with a star know as Plytron, at least it is where I am from.
