Yes, but first you will need a regimen of powerful female hormones for several months, followed by a painful operation to surgically restructure your genitalia to make it look like a vagina. You will probably also want to get a boob job.

If you think about it, anything is possible, even converting it to a slushbox. However, usually it is cheaper just to buy the car in auto (sticker prices for autos are typically $1000 USD or more than manual), but then again there's no automatic Evo.

If you swap transmissions, usually such things are about $1,000-7,000 USD, depending on where you take it and whether you want a new transmission or a remanufactured/used one.
If you don't know how to drive manual (and if that's the reason), it's not as bad as you think; it'll take 1-2 days to learn and about 10 days to master it into being smoother, depending on how long you're behind the will and how nimble a learner you are.

Besides, switching it to auto would KILL its acceleration, power curve, weight and many other factors that'll slow it down to be no different from say, a Lancer ES. Although the listed horsepower will be the same, the amount being applied to the wheels will be cut by roughly 20hp. Also, you'll have to reprogram the computer or get a new ECU altogether.

Yeah, it is possible but....why?

Its going to cost alot to do. The cheapest way would be to track down a JDM Evo GT-A...which came with an automatic from the factory...only hard part...they were only released everywhere but the States...so good luck finding a trans and everything else you would need from a junker GT-A.

Then you would have to ship it here, which wouldn't be cheap...followed by paying someone to do the actual swap. It is really quite unnecessary...and why would you want an automatic Evo? Its going to kill its performance....just grow a pair and learn to drive stick...its so much more fun than a boring auto.

It could be done but it would cost a fortune.. not only would you need an expensive automatic transmission.. and a new computer to control it. There would also be thousands of dollars in labor if you could find someone that would do it.

to sum up all the other morons that responded to this question. the answer is NO. theres tons of people that wish and want them in a auto but there is no way of doing it.well there is but it would be a one off trans that would cost you probaly 20,000. and then you would need a flexplate and a ecu that would know what it was doing with a auto trans.

it depends on which one you would want to convert, there is no early evo autos. but E7,8,9 there do a GTA which has an auto box. it would probably be cheaper to change the car instead.
