Hmmm, I'd be suspicious. There is no no WAY that you'd have to pay to 'reserve' that apartment BEFORE you get a viewing. That's just ridiculous. I'm renting at the moment, and you always come and look at the apartment first. Then, if you like the apartment you would agree to put down a bond (first month of rent), and meet with a lawyer/real estate agent to go over the lease and make sure you understand everything before you sign it. If you are keen on the place - maybe contact the lawyer first? I'd be suspicious. Bad grammar isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the whole procedure seems suss to me.
