when the indians being the good people they were helped these foolish pilgrims with food, shelter,clothing and there pay back was to murder te men and rape there beautiful woman then have a nerve to make a holiday out of it if these pilgrims were so thankful then why did they do such things??

Because some dead President declared it a National Holiday, that's why.

Because it's the politically correct thing to do.Otherwise the people here would have all been speaking Spanish or something else.I seriously doubt the so-called American or native Indians would have been in power today anyway.According to some genetic research they migrated originally from Europe in the first place. Raping and stealing isn't something pilgrims brought with them. This is common in all cultures.By the way turkey is on sale now anyway.

Most countries have a similar day of recognition for the family and friends that we love and miss, the blessing of wealth, health and happiness and whatnot. We cannot change the past, but we can take this opportunity to acknowledge those who have suffered and lost - all that has lead to our prosperity now. Also to make a renewed commitment to try to do better by our fellow human beings.

I have no idea why "they" did anything. Thanksgiving today has little to do with the Pilgrims. It has evolved into a day of giving thanks and feasting with family and friends.
