Horses have two sides to there brain. what you teach a horse on one side you have to teach the same thing to the other side. for example sacking out a horse you have to do this to both sides of the horse so they learn it is ok

Horses don't have gallbladders- because they are continuous feeders, bile is constantly released into their GI tract. Their teeth keep growing throughout their entire lives, so you can tell their age by their teeth. They need to have the sharp edges filed off from time to time, which is called floating. They can't throw up, but they do get hiccups sometimes. Each hoof is like a toe, so they stand on one toe per foot. Foals are able to stand and run within a few hours of birth. Hope this helps!

The chestnut on a horses legs is actually the result of evolution. In prehistoric times, this was actually a toe, and over the years as the horse adjusted to changing terrian, it evolved into the useless patch of hard flesh about midway up the inner leg that we now know as the chestnut.

One of the first horses was called a Hyracotherium. It lived about 50 million years ago and was as tall as a fox. It had toes! This horse changed over millions of years to become a modern horse.

Hmmm...fact?
Horses are one of the only animals on the planet that will eat until they kill themselves...
Colic isn't a whole lot of fun either. My parents raised buckskin quarterhorses. I can remember 2 or 3 times my daddy had to stick his hand up a horses rear end up to his shoulder to untwist a stomach...ick! LOL

Horses cannot vomit. This means that whatever a horse eats -
whether it be oats, molasses, moldy hay, or rusty nails - it must
go all the way through his digestive system. This inability to
vomit is the most common reason colic is a big problem with
horses.
