And do you like or hate it? Do you think it is an inconvenience that humans are forced to wear glasses to see properly? How does it make you feel?

I have worn glasses since I was 9 (although I got contact lenses at 12), and I would say it is the inconvenience of them that bothers me most of all. I would love, just for once, to be able to wake up and see every thing around me without reaching around to find my glasses. Also, they're such a bummer in the rain and snow.

Yes, I have worn glasses since I was 8. I used to hate wearing them, because they were an ever-present reminder that I had a "flaw" of being nearsighted. I went through a period in middle school where my eyesight went bad pretty quickly, and I used to be really worried that at the rate I was going, I'd be blind by the time I turned 18. Luckily that didn't happen, but I'm still extremely reliant on my glasses and contact lenses and couldn't survive without them.

I got contacts when I was 14, and I used to wear them every day when I was in high school... I didn't want to look like a dork. In college I became more confident and also lazier, so I started wearing my glasses more often.

These days, I wear my glasses most of the time, and I tend to like wearing my glasses, even though I probably look better without them. I usually wear contacts for special occasions, but I feel really exposed and self-conscious when I do, because I'm so used to having my glasses on!

I used to think of wearing glasses as an inconvenience, but I don't anymore. I'm actually grateful now that I can put on a pair of glasses in the morning and see clearly--at least I'm not blind! Glasses frames come in many colors and styles, and it's fun to pick out a new pair of frames and try out a new look. And I know that I have the option of wearing contacts if I want to look prettier. I would never get LASIK, because there are too many risks, and it's also too new at this point so nobody really knows what the long-term effects are.

Yes, I wear glasses. The frames are red plastic. They are fun and brighten my complexion. I don't really think about wearing glasses. I only take them off to shower or to go to sleep. I wake up and put them on right away. It is such a habit that I don't even consider it a bother. I am so thankful for being able to see with my glasses that I would never consider them an inconvenience. I tried contacts and couldn't handle putting my finger in my eye. That was an inconvenience. Actually, I think my glasses are a part of who I am. So, maybe instead of just being used to them, they have become a part of who I am.

I have been wearing glasses now for 5 years (?)
You get used to something being in front of your eyes. At first I had to get used to it. But now, if I don't wear them, I feel kind of naked without them, as if something is missing.
If laser surgery would be more affordable, I would do it. Of course I wish my eyesight would be perfect, but it's not.
Wearing glasses is not a big thing, you get used to it. It's not an inconvenience anymore. But it is an inconvenience having bad eyesight. Because I always need my glasses when I go to the movies, so I can't forget them. Plus, you always have to watch out that you always remember where you laid them, and that you accidently don't step or sit on them.

I got glasses in third grade, and I hated them so in 6th grade I got contacts. It is a huge inconvenience. Wearing my glasses too long gives me headaches because you can't see out of all angles, on straight ahead. I can't wait til I can save up enough money to get lasik eye surgery. It's such a pain to wake up every morning and not be able to see without putting glasses on, or contacts in.

I wear glasses for reading and it seems lately I have to wear them more often, but it does not bother me to wear them and I do not think that it is an inconvenience at all.

Yup, I've been wearing glasses since 6th grade, that's about 22 years now. I guess I've gotten use to it. I've considered contacts but there is too much maintanance and laser surgery sounds too scary. There are so many different styles of frames now that it's actually pretty cool.

When I was young I wished I wore glasses, to me it was of sign of being smart, When I first wore glasses I felt confident, I felt smart, and just felt good. Now many many years have passed and they slip, I'm forever forgetting where I put them, and I still feel good about wearing them.
