Zelda help on Nintendo wii?

Okay so i am playing Zelda, moving along. And then i came to the part where Minda unchains me from the cell and then i go and talk to spirits and such. My question is, how the heck do i kill those stupid little black spider like things that swim around?

The easiest way I've found is just to get up on some dry land, Z-target, and press A. That should kill them in one shot.

you cant attack them in the water. so you need the drain the water by pulling the chain. and attack by waiving your controller like usually slashes.
