*your doctor can strip your mucus membranes
*Sex, sperm has a certain chemical that is like pitocin
*orgasm ,causes uterine contractions
*nipple stimulation can also bring on contractions (they say a few Min's. at a time for 30 min total)
*Walking, swaying of hips and gravity bring the baby closer to the cervix
*pressure points, go to a massage thrapist who do prenatal massage and they should know the right pressure point for induction (in anlke and hand)
*red raspberry leaf tea, Makes contractions more effective shortinging labor (must drink in high volumes)

I have heard that walking a lot will start the labor process. Also back in the day they said laxatives would do it too (DO NOT DO THIS) just giving you some age old wives tales.
Relish being pregnant. It is the most wonderful thing. I always thought it was so cool to be pregnant. I could have my baby with me at all times without all the work. No diapers, no feedings, no need of a babysitter.

This isn't the answer you want, but suck it up and deal. If your baby hasn't been born yet it's because your baby isn't ready to be born yet. If you rush things, it can put more strain on your baby. There will be an end to it, I promise. Otherwise, have you talked to your doctor about inducing? That's the only thing I would suggest because it's monitored by a doctor so there's little to no chance of anything going wrong.

Nothing will get things going before the baby is ready, except drugs. And trust me, for your safetty and the baby's please do not have the doctor's induce. The baby will come when he is ready. Inductions can lead to complications for yourself and the baby, and often leads to a c-section which is not only dangerous but also has a longer and more painful healing time than natural birth does. It is major abdominal surgery.
If the baby is ready some things to speed it up are sex or walking.

i recognize you mentioned something approximately walking, it somewhat does artwork! you do no longer ought to flow outdoors or something. purely stroll around your homestead or maybe the scientific institution so which you're already there. I went into the scientific institution and became in an commentary status and given the choice to flow homestead ( i became in basic terms a million cm dilated) or to stroll around for an hour and notice if I made any progression. in view that i became already there I purely desperate to stroll around. via the time the hour became up i could desire to somewhat make it back to my room and that i became already just about 4 cm dilated. The tension of the toddler pushing down besides as contractions are what reason your cervix to open up and skinny out. i recognize you probably do no longer prefer to stroll around, i recognize i did no longer, yet believe me it works! the quicker your kit is out in the worldwide with you the quicker your physique can loosen up. good success and Congrats!

Don't rush. I know you feel miserable right now but nothing will compare to how crazy (in a wonderful way) you life will be once the baby comes. Take a nice bath and enjoy the quiet while you have it.

I was in the same boat as you. From experience I say be patient. Nature will take it's course and it's the best route. They gave me pitocin, and it was HELL. My contractions were 12 min. long and I didn't have a rest between them. I may sound like a hippy, but my next baby, I'm gonna take it slow and easy.

they say caster oil can get labor moving but i would not try that because it can give you horrible diareah , and being in labor and to have that happen to you would be realy bad. they say that sex can help. long walks. also i was reading that nipple stimulation also can help. good luck it wont be much longer, try to enjoy the peace and quiet while you still have it because life is definantly different with a new baby.

With my wife's second we just asked if she could deliver. The doctors explained all the risks at 38 weeks and left it up to us for an answer. She did delivered at 38 weeks with both of our kids. All pregnancies are different so ask about all the risks if you seriously want to be done.....Otherwise wait for your body to tell you....
