someone calls me on their call phone from a (909) california area code.
i live in (602) arizona
but they call from IN arizona with that same cell phone,
is it still considered long distance ?

It depends on the plan that they have. I have a national plan and I can call anywhere in the U.S. with no long distance charge.

Your minutes will be deducted even if you call your husband's cell phone while he's still in the house. Same thing if he's like on the other side of United States.

yes, yes, yes! It's your plan that's the determining factor in all of it. They might even be charged roaming fees on top of that for being out of their state, that is, depending on what kinda plan they have. Bottom line is, if you have an area code different from whomever's you're calling, it's considered long distance.

Usually with cell phones there's no such thing as "long distant calls" anymore. Roaming charges, yes. Long distance calls, no.


If they are in their "service area" then there should be NO extra charges. But if they are "roaming", then yes, there would be extra charges.

Yes because their home area code is different than the one they're in. If you have free long distance on your cell phone, then it doesn't matter.

Actually, it depends on THEIR carrier. Most plans have no long distance charges.
