But if it makes you happy that the reason for everything conservatives do, is because of the elections, then well, ok

oh... I don't know... I live in a state where a Republican candidate just conceded like Wednesday, which was like two/three weeks after the election... that's pretty sour... I would say...

and I've heard several answers on here calling the Amercian public "stupid" from conservatives for voting for dems... that's pretty sour too

Conservatives can be sour because they lost control of Congress, after only 12 years. Before that, they went FOUR DECADES before having both the House and Senate. It's a damning judgment of the conservative agenda by the American voter. Not a happy time for any Republican.

But...they also have to be a little sour at themselves. Bush's war in Iraq, Rumsfeld's incompetence, Cheney's poor charisma (and aim with a shotgun), and various scandals (Tom DeLay, Jack Abramoff, and Mark Foley) really riddled their approval ratings and many voters had had ENOUGH of corruption, ineptness, hypocrisy, and perverse favoritism towards the upper-class power-brokers.

Let's hope the change in Congress signals better times ahead -- ones of prosperity and substance, not jingoistic slogans and dead-end wars.
