The pill made me ill, now the patch is doing the same. I do not want anything inserted in to me, but i did hear about one type inserted into the arm, this would be ok. Has anyone used this?

I am on birth control to control my periods, which were out of control, do not comment if you are going to make rude sexual comments.

The very best method is sterilization. Do it. One day, you'll be glad you did.

Norplant was the arm insert...not sure if it's still being used...I use Depo Provera (hormone injection every 3 mons) and love it...haven't had a real period in a decade...there is also the nuva-ring which is a rubber-like ring you insert into your vagina, IUD which is implanted inside you as well, keeps the egg from attaching....condoms (if you want to trust your b/c to the guy)...diaphragm....

Talk to your doctor about the various methods available, and even perhaps a different kind of pill (there are many) and what the pros and cons are of each..

Or do a search on "birth control" online and read up on the different methods and see what you think might suit your lifestyle best...

You're talking about Norplant. I would not recommend it from my personal experience. The pill gave me headaches, Norplant gave me migraines. I gained an extreme amount of weight and had to have it removed after 3 months.

Other forms of protection are the sponge, spermicide and prophylactics. Of course, you can use all three to decrease your chances of pregnancy.

maybe you should look into non-hormonal ways...it can be more time-consuming, but maybe you are just too sensitive to hormones...condoms, spermicidal foam/inserts, diaphragm, female condom,

i don't know anything about the arm things, except i think they are hormonal
