you really can not take any thing over the counter but tylenol so you have to try stuff like hot steam to loosen up the mucus in your chest, also you could use vicks vapor rub, drink warm tea's . give the medicine time to kick in if you do not feel any better in a few days or get worse head back to the doctor.

It's probably just morning sickness. I don't know what exercise you get or are restricted from, but maybe going for walks will help. Also, try to get as much rest as you can. And I hear sex can help, too, but if you feel too sick for that, I don't blame you for not wanting any. Make sure to drink as much water as possible (but not more than two gallons a day) and ask your doctor before taking any medicines, even if it's OTC. Some day massages can help, others disagree. I can't recommend a sauna since you're pregnant, but stand in the bathroom with a hot shower running or make sure the water is hot when you take a shower. Avoid baths and swimming and other unhygienic bodies of liquids. If you can, cuddle with someone (not the baby cuz you don't want them sick). Take some vitamin d or even 10,000 milligrams of vitamin c (within the same day). Drink hot liquids. Eat hot food. Use Vicks rubs on chest and nose. Drink water. Don't forget to stay hydrated. It's extremely important.

Chest Infection Pregnancy

2016-12-12 17:14:18 · answer #3 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

you know what, that happened to me when i was pregnant last year. but i was about 6-7 weeks when i caught a real bad cold. i was still trying to work out my payment plans to go see a doctor so i was nervous about my cold. i had read up some stuff on the internet and it said that when you're pregnant the baby takes away or weakens from your immune system for its own growth. so i just did what i regularly did when i had a chest infection, i got plenty of rest, drank a lot of fluids, especially orange juice for the vitamin C, and drank safe teas that boosted my immune system. but if your chest infection gets severe i urge you to go and see a doctor right away, if you can't get to a doctor got to the emergency room.
babies also take calcium too, thats why some women "with child" may lose teeth since our teeth is a source of calcium. but this doesn't happen much (i do know somebody perosnally that this happened to though), especially if you increase your calcium intake so its just enough for you and the baby.
i hope this helps.

-oh yeah, i also read some where that a lot of the time fetuses that are 7weeks or younger, usually don't get affected by colds, drinking, or smoking because most of the time a woman doesn't find out she's pregnant until she is between 4-7 weeks. but i still wouldn't want you to risk the health of your unborn, i just don't want you to worry too much. but see a doctor a.s.a.p.!

Of course the best answer is to go see a doctor because you definitely need to know if it is an infection that you have. Don't let these people frighten you. My doctor actually prescribed Tylenol with codeine for my migraines during my first pregnancy.

Personally, my Ob/Gyn is allowing me to take anything that is sold over the counter in the US for my colds. I found that--when I had my really bad cold--a combination of guaifenisen, pseudoephedrine, and acetaminophen worked really well.

Hope this helps. Feel better!

You need to talk to your doctor asap. There are certain strains of bacteria and virsues that can impact your child. But you must be careful about medications too. So get professional advice as soon as you can.

Are you sure it's a chest infection?
Have you consulted a doctor or your gynae?
If not, it could be heartburns as pregnant ladies tend to get it.
Best to check with your gynae.

Catered beings in August moaning (and a bright one, too, at that),
The sun pouring out of the sky like pease-pudding and
Embers of groupings for seating reference
Blowing against us to the melody of a dyeing wind.

Years are many and more are cable
For the harbour door, a target of order and use.
Could you call the lead in April Sunshine
To fall in the time they got away?

A white rule breaches sons of man
It was as if I remembered it.
And freedom comes in freedoms but don't ever step on freedoms.
He tells us she said: don't ever step on freedoms.
