The attitude of surrender is gained through humility, the weakest of virtues. The acceptance of the inevitable is what leads to the surrender of the soul.
Let us not walk forward with our eyes to the ground, but instead stride boldly forward, staring the entropy in the eye, and answer the call to carve our destinies into the rock of the chaos that swirls around us.

The quest to learn and the will to tread the path with devotion. Unless the person is not thirsty for the nector, the attitude will not come.

the obvious answer is love. to attain that means to sacrifice part of yourself. when you do that you are weakened and can be influenced by anything. dedication, yes. surrender, no. you lose yourself to someone else, or a cause, you are no longer you. you are what someone else wants you to be.
