North Korea is a Nuclear threat but at least Kim Jong Il has China keeping him in check and he's now willing to negotiate with the INRC (this may even be a ploy). Iran is quickly becoming a real threat to the extinction of the human race. Ahmadinejad is an insane "Hitler" type with an apocalyptic view. He and his adherents will not subject themselves to ANY international governing bodies and have already stated they will annihilate anyone disagreeing with them. Israel is first on their list but the USA and western civilization is their ultimate goal. Europe should be VERY concerned.
WWIII is looming on the horizon.

Extremists are nothing if not honest. They say they hate because they do hate. They've been saying they want to kill us, we should believe them. Iran has all the energy they'll ever need, they don't want nuclear powerplants, they want weapons TO KILL US !!!.

To simply dismiss these types of statements as political rhetoric is just what "they" want us to do.

Yes but their hate for Israel is greater, than their hate for us, so you might say Israel isour early warning system.

You are right, the extremists, or jihadists, are very honest and clear about their goals. If they reach power in one place (like they did in Afghanistan) they will then set their eyes on somewhere else. They do not believe that there are limitations to where they can conquer. This is a normal part of most religions, whether Islam or Christianity.
Anyway, while i have qualms with Iran and its president, i do not believe that they are quite as insane as they are made out to be in the media. Never the less, i am very concerned that a state like Iran, a theocracy, can posses nuclear weapons. When you think you have god on your side then you might be willing to do anything.
Yet, we must understand the situation in the region and the deep sense of injustice felt by Arabs and Muslims. Why, they ask, is Israel allowed to posses these weapons while we are not?
It is, i believe, a fair question. Some might say that Israel is a more stable, somewhat democratic country, yes, i will grant you that, but it has never been a peaceful one and given the fact that it is surrounded by countries that hate it, who knows what it can do? Weapons of mass destruction should not be part of the equation in such a volatile region.
But i still believe that North Korea is more dangerous, at least in the short term.

Sure looks like the democratics have assured the world the US is now a joke. Russia did not take long to slap us in the face by shipping antiaircraft missiles to Iran against the bans in place. Showing weakness by backing out of commitments encourages just these actions.

It depends on how ugly it is where you are. Right now the biggest true problem I have right now is a bully picking on my kid.

I'm more worried about a natural disaster like an asteroid .
or an earthquake, here we can die eating foam in a tsunami wipe out

The longer we sit quietly and do and say nothing, the faster the end will get here.
