i was just watching a program on the national geograpic channel called Into the womb. babies are affected by stress. they said that it takes awhile for the baby to be affected. so around the time when you're calming down the baby is just feeling the affects. just breathe and take it easy sista ok. i know i'm 26 wks and someone can look at me the wrong way and i think they hate me and break into tears. lol

You know I believe it does. When I was 4 months pregnant I had a very bad experience with my mother in law (long story) anyway I was crying for like 3 days straight, but it was not sad tears it was angry tears! Anyway, when I was done with all the crying I had the most horrible headache I have ever had and I was SO stressed out. As all of this was happening I realized I had not felt the baby at all in like a week, I usually felt a kick here and there at that time and not feeling him was awful, I realized that maybe he was getting my anger and sadness and stress so I just relaxed and forgot about the whole thing. Anyway 2 months later my husband left to Iraq, and there I go again more crying and more crying and more crying! I cried for a whole week and again, no baby movement, so I know it has to affect your baby one way or another, if it is not good for you I don't see how it would be good for your baby. The best thing to do is to relax and think about the baby all the time and let him know how important he is for you.

I went through a lot of tough times when I was pregnant and cryed a lot! and threw a lot of tantrums especially at my bf I hoped it wouldn't affect the baby, and im glad my baby is healthy today (shes 14 months now). Honestly I think it would affect the baby somewhat but I think its natural to let out your emotions because let's face it most pregnancies are hard! especially if you weren't prepared! just try to relax and let your emotions out in other ways like I wish I would have.

Being pregnant is wonerful and so hard. Your hormones are going nuts. I cried and was crazy through both of my pregnancies and I have two perfect, brilliant, gorgeous little ones. Try and enjoy this time and don't worry about your mood swings -- human babies and fetuses even are very resilliant. Take care.

if you are highly stressed yes it can affect the baby!! It has been proven that if you are stresses that it increases your blood pressure and that can decrease the amount of nutrients your baby receives causing low birth weight and in some cases other complications as well
