it is quite common really.pregnant women tend to have a heightened sensitivity to taste.ive heard reports of women who say that ketchup smells and tastes a bit like rubbing alcohol.fortunately you are in the very young stages of pregnancy and your tastes are subject to change.medications such as prenatal vitamins can also leave metallic tastes in your mouth.

I have fillings in some of my teeth & when I was pregnant, it did the same thing with me. I think I finally got over it later on. No symptoms now, so maybe it was the "strange" pregnant thing's that go on. If it keeps up, you may want to get with your OB & see it there is a medical reason.
Congratulations & good luck!!

I went through thesame thing with my first daughter. I had to wash it like 80 times before I would use it. I know what you mean with the metal taste thing. And for some reason washing it a bunch of times made me feel like it tasted better...... wierd, I know. LOL
