Check your Local www.craigslist for a scooter for a great price.Mopeds and Scooters are pretty popular right now, so you might get a new one for the price of a Used one.. ...Call and check around on new , to get an idea of what a used should run. While you are there you might check on used ones from the same places that sell new. I hope you don't live a large city. !!

If you live in the US check out cycletrader.com for a used moped. Other than that check the local bike shops and dont let them sell you something too big, a 50cc will do just fine if its a short trip, like 5 to 10 minutes.

Find some in the local for ebay. know the retail value of the bike before you buy. Take someone with you to test ride it before you buy. I 'd stick with at least 125 to 150cc. You will be disappointed in the 50cc ers. Scooters are better than mopeds for you probably. They are easier to control, and get on and off of. You'll find the weather is your enemy for daily biking.
