I grew up listening to him. My mom always said that when i was 5 years old, I would steal my dad's old vinyl records and listen to them instead of listening to children's songs. I couldn't help it, his voice was mesmerizing...the songs were catchy and when i saw them on tv, it was all about performance. To this very day, it remonds me of my great childhood, my father and a time in my life where good, solid rock music and good rock musicians were alive and thriving. I miss my childhood...but i can still listen to his records and think about the best music ever.

Freddy was definately the voice of a generation. I love his work with Queen, not so much his solo stuff. Basically listen "No One But You" (it was written by the other guys from Queen after his death) it sums all the emotions I have over his death. I guess the moral (if there is one) is that we have to appreciate greatness while it's here, because it can flicker out in a second (same goes for Tupac).

If we were to feel bad every time it's the death aniversary of someone influent, we'd spend our lives grieving don't you think...
...But I do love Freddy Mercury, he did great things for the music industry back in the day.

unhappy. He and Queen have been between the superb bands i've got ever seen stay. That voice isn't replaced. i've got confidence worse concerning the anniversary of the dying of Bobby Kennedy however. i ask your self whether Freddy would agree?

Old. Actually I am old, and I did enjoy Queen in their heyday. Too bad about Freddie, really sad story.

Freddy Murcury was a lyrical genius that influenced many musicians. And he will continue to do so for many years to come.
