ovulation calendars and planing the baby's sex...did it work for you????

Question

this question is only for woman who have used the ovulation calandars to try to have a prefered gender..
what i want to know is did it work for you...
i had sex only one day in a whole month..and it was on the first day of ovulation on a ovulation calandar....so it should be a girl
ive tried to find a site that tested that theory..but didnt find one.
so who has tried this and had it work????

for the answers i have recieved thats what i was afraid id get..
it is possible to try to get a certain gender..by using the ovulation calandar and by deciding when the sperm will meet the egg depending on the x or y...
and i know that on ovulation its a boy..
but if you follow a ovulation calandar you can know when your about to ovulate and or when you are ovulating to get the right gender..
i just wanted to know if anyone has done it and what the outcome was.

We tried that without success.... we tried for a boy and got a girl. We also tried the Chinese calendar and different positions and everything you can think of. None worked. We are happy though... as it turned out, hubby really wanted a girl anyway. I changed my mind as soon as I could buy gender specific onesies!

Actually according to my fertility specialist if you have sex the day of your ovulation it will most likely be a boy!!! the male sperm (y) swim faster than the female(x) So if your egg was already there then it will most likely be a boy! If you want a girl then you need to have sex no less than three days BEFORE you ovulate The female sperm swim slower but live longer so have sex three days before and the males will die giving the females a chance to get here just as the egg does.
just remember
*4-5 days before you ovulate =girl
*sex close to or during ovulation usualy =boy
and yes this technique does work I know about 5 people now that got exactly what they wanted with careful planning!
I ended up having sex during my ovulation with my first and current pregnancy they were boys both times!

I've not really tried that method cause you cant really plan the sex of your baby. A fun online tool is a chinese sex chart, which i glanced at to see if it was correct. it goes by the age you are at the time you conceived and the month you got pregnant and it worked for both my kids (i have one boy and a girl on the way). so you could try that and see if it works. but overall i would just be happy with what you get when he or she comes out.

I looked on the Chinese calendar on-line and picked day & month and wanted boy! I got a boy and so did a co-worker.

The baby's gender is only determined by your husband's genes! Basic biology!
