If Florida wins the SEC title game, and USC loses, than Florida. Michigan is the likely pick because of the dumb computer system, but honestly it wouldn't be fair. It wouldn't prove anything especially if Ohio State happened to lose(which I doubt), and it definately wouldn't solve the problem of a true #2 team. My hopes are on Florida, but in all likelyhood, if USC wins they will go, if USC loses, and Florida loses, than Michigan would probably get the vote.

If Ohio St. is the best team in the land and Michigan took them down to the wire in Columbus, then it's pretty obvious that Michigan is the second best team in the country. Based upon what I've just said, I'd have to say that there should be a rematch between Ohio St. and Michigan for the national championship.

i think you just answered your own question my friend. NO DOUBT, michigan should face ohio st. they proved that they can keep up with ohio st at the buckeyes stadium. if they meet on neutral turf i think michigan wins the national championship. if Florida has to play ohio st then it WILL NOT be a fun game to watch because ohio st's defense will hold florida to under 14 points and then troy smith and the ohio st offense can run over florida. michigan gets their rematch against the buckeyes

I COULDNT AGREE WITH YOU MORE. IM A BUCKS FAN AND AT THIS POINT THEY CAN ONLY BEAT THEMSELVES. THEY TRIED TO GIVE THE MICHIGAN GAME AWAY BUT FAILED. THE WORST IS OVERWITH. I DONT THINK IT REALLY MATTERS WHO THEY PLAY. THE BEST PROBABLE MATCHUP WOULD BE MICHIGAN, BUT MOST PEOPLE THINK THAT SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD GET A SHOT AND TRUTHFULLY I AGREE WITH THAT LINE OF THINKING. THE NOTRE DAME/USC GAME TOMORROW MIGHT MAKE THINGS INTERESTING. NOTRE DAME HAS ALOT GOING FOR IT , IF IT CAN PULL THIS OFF. EITHER WAY ITLL PROBABLY BE THE WINNER OF THIS GAME . BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THERE HAS TO BE A PLAYOFF SYSTEM PUT IN PLACE TO FAIRLY DECIDE WHO'S THE BEST. THE DOWN SIDE TO THIS IS THE MONEY. ALL THE BOWL GAMES MEAN MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND LIKE IN ALL OTHER FACETS OF LIFE- MONEY TALKS.
GOD BLESS

Too soon to tell, we've still got 2 weeks of regular season and conference championship games to go.

I still think it is Michigan, but if USC is impressive against Notre Dame, then I think they may give them the shot.
