Karaoke discs are not regular CD's. They are called CD+G discs which stands for "Compact Disc plus Graphics". Although you can play the audio portion of these discs in a standard CD player, you need a CD+G player in order to display the graphics on a monitor or TV screen.

There are many types of CD+G players available. There are stand alone units that contain their own monitor. There are other boombox types that you connect to your TV. The component players are added to your home stereo system like any CD or DVD player.

You will find a large selection of CD+G players at http://www.karaoke-systems.com/all-in-one-karaoke-systems.html and http://www.karaoke-systems.com/karaoke-players-machines.html .

To have your own karaoke system but not too expensive, you can simply buy karaoke DVDs that play directly in your normal DVD player as well as a microphones set and a mixer.

Here is the online store from Karaoke Jukebox DVD where you can find all those things: https://www.karaokejukeboxlive.com/en/store

Enjoy & have fun!
