I've seen a few of them and they definitely don't have a bad quality nor a bad plot (at least for children).

because the focus on a sequel isnt the quality, the focus is just on making more money... they try harder the first time to make a good film to sell more tickets, but the second time they just try to cash in on the popularity of the first one...

Because in animation sequel songs R the main part of the movie N U'll find them to B of poor choice or the melody is the same but the lyrics were replace ( in a very lazy way ) to make the story more relative with the original concept N in a world of sequels laziness = disaster.

The only sequels I like are the Disney ones with Pixar (Toy Story 2 for example), or things like Shrek.

The sequels usually aren't so good because the characters change, the plot changes alot, and they become extremley boring after a while.

i know for me and my friends the reason we don't like sequals is because if we really like a movie and they come out with another one we are afraid that the 2nd movie will ruin the first, that the company will try to do something like the other one and it ends up to be such a far strech that it bombs. Some movies are really good with sequals, my favoirte is lion king 1 1/2 but like beauty and the beast it ended perfectly and making up more to the story is weird, like lion king 2, how they make the cubs grow up and such it's kinda of like haven't we already seen that... it's sad because there are alot of really good sequals that people dont see because of the idea of over doing it, but sometimes compaines just need to learn how to stop unless they know it's fresh and still good like sherk

Well, 14 years ago i was watching bambi, cinderella, the little mermaid, ect. and now that those movies all have sequals, i was interested in seeing them... then i heard that beloved characters from bambi die, cinderella is just 3 mini-movie crappy things, and then the little mermaid 2 is just about the same as number one, just backwards. plus all the music in the 2nd ones are a lot worse than the songs in the first ones.

Sequels are usually just baseline repeats of the previous movies, people don't want to see the same storyline in two different movies
