A steady flashing green light is one of the common error codes. If your PC is a Dell, that normally means a bad power supply. But check the web site of the manufacturer to be sure.

This happened to me once...the flashing green light was on the back of the tower. First try to unplug your computer completely out of the power source and leave it for a few minutes...then plug everything back in and try to start it up again. If it works then you are good...otherwise I had to take mine in and get a new power supply put in...the part was about $30...but labor for the tech guy to put it in was $60 for a 10 minute job. Hope this helps...Good Luck :)

for the part and $65 for labour and it was a ten 12 min. job also try and clean your power you can buy a can of compress air for about $10 you spray it in to the power unit that clean any dust from and help it run longer if dust builds to much your power supply will work harder this burn them out Hope this helps Good Luck

Check the power supply, use the web to find a test procedure. A power supply may fail completely, or the output may be to low. And if you look around, you can get one cheep. Look for any signs of overheating on the mother board .

G'day Robert,

Clarification please mate, you hit the "power on" button and then what happens? does your machine run through it's internal processes?

You know, black screen with computer type info on it, and then it hangs? (doesn't load windows) or do you hit the "power on" button and nothing happens?

Either way, you need to clarify so our techie fellows in the world can assist you better.

Good Luck, Rod
