Is Hasselbeck a stretch this week? My fear is that LT will dominate and Rivers will be minimal. Opinions?

Hasselbeck plays at home against a weak GB secondary. Rivers faces an Oakland pass defense that is actually quite underrated. Plus there is the whole LT domination factor. I'd definitely go with Hasselbeck even though it's his first game back in a while.

i say Rivers because he is having a great year for a rookie. He still does good every week and LT always gets 3 or 4 touchdowns.
Hasselbeck hasn't been doing that great lately

Rivers seems like the right choice for this week. Hasselbeck, although a "fantasy god" is not a safe choice coming off the injury. Seattle's offense can be conservative and I would suspect that they will be until Hasselbeck is back to 100%.

Rivers has put up great fantasy numbers and i see no reason it wont continue. LT actually helps Rivers because he is so good the other team needs to load up to stop the run leaving a lot of one on one match-ups and linebacker on TE match-ups. I would give Hasselbeck a week or 2 to get back in rythm and use him come your fantasy playoff time as he seems more likely to put up big numbers later. Good Luck!

Hasselbeck

when DOESN'T LT dominate? he's been killing everyone the past few weeks and playing against the crappy raiders ain't gonna change anything. raider secondary is actually not half bad so rivers will probably chuck a couple picks then do what he always does and hand it off to LT to win the game.

hasselback should play okay this week. nothing grand or super huge numbers but enough to be a factor. I'd go with hasselback this week

Start Phillip Rivers over Matt Hasselbeck.

Rivers leads Hasselbeck in...
Comp%: 67% to 58.5%
Y/A: 7.69 to 7.10
TD: 15-10
INT:5-7
Rtg: 99.7-82.8

The Chargers are playing the Raiders who have the the 32nd ranked Offense(239.3 yds per game) This means that Oakland will not move the ball and the Chargers Offense will get the ball more offensively.

Hope this helps,
Good Luck.

i'd go with Rivers....everyone saw how bad culpepper was comming off a knee injury (confidence wise)....so i think hasselbeck is gonna be babying his knee too much to have a great game.....and rivers is just a stud....he could just dump it off to LT all day and get Fantasy Points that way...

Definitely Rivers. Hasselback is still a little gimpy, and he's rusty. Give Hasselback at least a game back to prove himself before starting him. Besides Rivers is a pretty solid option in the mean time.
