Even a Navy Seal is classified and things they do and were TALKING ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT,CIA. Im sure they know what their doing. US INVADING IRAQ FOR OIL?!??!! Thats bull0ck, first off for the U.S OR George W Bush to benefit from oil! they need to stabalize the country (which wont happen! It will take atleast 7 years) Second If U.S. get all the benefit from the oil the IRAQIS poeple will be OUTRAGED! Just like they are now!! the Shiiates and the SunniS!! Fighting for THEIIR OWN OIL!!! well you may be right. The problem with the minds of most in the USA is that they only believe what they want to believe. They will swear it is raining when there is not a drop of rain and the sun is out. They just don't like being made out as fools. They sometimes prefer to believe a lie rather than to face the truth.
But on with your question, the Iraqis will never allow the US to control their oil and neither will Iran. In fact, now that the entire Middle East knows and understands the modus operandi of the US, they have no use for us except that we continue to buy their oil. A few years back while the US was in the full throes of war with Iraq, I predicted that Iran as well as Saudi Arabia and Syria would one day join hands as a solidified conglomerate of Middle Eastern power. This is happening, slowly but surely. Soon enough we will also see even Lebanon joining as well as Kuwait and Jordan. Then will come Pakistan and Afghanistan.We had no viable plan for Iraq, and it is too late to stop this oncoming Middle Eastern power base.
Oh and yes, Iran has been chanting "death to America" for several years now...but what you don't seem to realize is that other middle eastern countries have been THINKING the same thought for several years also.
Will the U.S. invade and wage war against Iran?
It remains to be seen, but we should hope not. Doing so at least now in this decade would mean a world war. And it would mean the end for Israel.
So no. Not a viable plan. Not now. Now five years from now.

It's all about having a presence in the Middle East and controling the worlds oil supplies.Why do you think the Russians were in Afganistan for a decade,they wanted to have the oil pipelines running from the Caspian Sea that the Americans now have.This war on terror is a big excuse to invade Middle East.The promlems the soldiers in Iraq have would be a hundred times worse in Iran,the U.S. would be crazy to invade to invade Iran.Iraqs military was nowhere as good as Irans is.

this isn't the 1700s... we don't need land bases to wage or win a war... it can be nice... but needed... certainly not... and two countries worth? that's a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY... especially against the 1960s military of Iran...
but hey... you keep thinking in terms of BC warfare strategy...
and if you didn't notice... the price of oil goes up when you invade a country that produces oil... which means record profits... which some people may like...
oh and Iran hates Isreal and wants to kill them? that was a actually news in about uh... 600 BC... and it's pretty much been the same since then

If we invaded Iraq for oil, clarify to me why the hell gas fees are so extreme now? Do you no longer think of that if that became our purpose, we could no longer purely take the oil now? via your good judgment, Dems have been making the comparable drained argument for as long as Repubs have been denying it.

One question to you about the oil thing.... do you really think the generals would allow their troops to die over oil?
The generals know if they spoke out, there would be a public outcry to leave the war, so, I guess the real question is, do you know what you are talking about?
