You are not shaving correctly. First always use a clean sharp razor. Second, shower or take a warm bath first to soften the hair and moisten the skin. Third, always use shaving cream (this contains the right stuff to prevent the bumps). Fourth, after you shave wash completely with a anti-bacterial soap.

DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC RAZOR THERE

What you are getting is irritation marks from your shave, your skin is very soft there and you are actually cutting into the top layer of your good skin cells. You need the cream to guide the razor while you shave (do not be cheap but the good stuff).

DO NOT PUT AFTER SHAVE AFTER YOU SHAVE THERE.

The hair has a protective function - it lets air circulate around the pubic area, which cuts down on odor, and it prevents chaffing of the skin. Sounds like too much hair is being removed. Don't worry about what the girls at school say - they really don't know anything yet. A nice bush is very manly and much more healthy. Real women like real men - and men have hair.

Go to the drugstore and buy some "Bikini Zone" cream. Put it on after you shave to keep from getting bumps. Also, try not to shave against the hair growth. The area is just too sensitve.

The only thing I would add is not to push down too hard with the razor. If the hairs are cut below the skin they can "catch" on the edge of the hair follicle and that is what causes the bumps/ingrown hairs.

They are ingrown bumps. They are ouchy! They can get infected. It will hurt but you need to put alcohol on them and let them "ooze" out. Sounds nasty. Should it get infected, you'll have more problems, so if the bumps get worse you need to see the doctor to get them taken out. I think everyone who has shaved has been in this prediciment (spelling?!) and the best way to get it to not do that is to steam it with a REALLY hot washcloth or towel and let it sit there as long as you can stand it, then put shaving cream on it, and then shave.

If it is ingrown hairs, then take a pin, (there should be a noticable loop in the hair going from skin to skin) and put the pin through the loop, and pull up to remove it from the skin where it's not supposed to be.

But, ingrown hairs shouldn't be the size of mosquito bites... they should be a bit smaller. You might have crabs...

You can prevent more bumps by removing hair with a method other than shaving. To help remove existing bumps, use a loofah daily to free the ingrown hairs over time.

My husband uses a very good expensive razor. The sharper the blade the less breakout. You will get an occasional in-grown hair, it will go away. Good for you, all men should be so clean!
